I love interactive sites pertaining to TV shows or movies.
LOST:

ReadWriteWeb talks about it.
When will campaigns like this become part of the experience, and not just a promotion for the show?
The first one I can remember is for Starship Troopers. They had a great game that replicated the style of the movie and built up a great following people who were excited for the movie months in advance. Too bad the movie sucked.
I was very into the AI game…the movie wasn’t as good as the game as well.
The first one that I really got involved with was for Alias. With that one, it was a whole other world that supported and extended the show. When you heard a phone number, domain, or ip address in the phone, you could check it out and find info and clues to other things. There was a Yahoo Group dedicated to tracking down all those things.
Interestingly enough, both Lost and Alias are from JJ Abrams and the Bad Robot clue… it’s nice to see a few people who get it. 🙂
I wonder when, however, the TV show starts REQUIRING you to interact online in order to really understand things, and not just be a promo or bonus reel-type thing.
I just bought LOST season 3 so I’m watching that to get geared up for Season 4… I definitely wanna check out some of these sites.
