It’s all your fault

From time to time, a few words are introduced in a conversation, article, book, etc, and instead of slipping in and out of short term memory – it sticks. It becomes something that comes to mind nearly every day.

As CEO, I’ve had to struggle with the challenge of being ultimately responsible for everything that happens to the company. However, as we’ve grown, I’ve given away more and more of my Legos, and had to gain comfort with the inability to directly affect or influence day-to-day actions – sometimes leaving a sense of helplessness in the face of deficiencies.

“It’s all your fault”

I latched on to that. Everything right or wrong in the company can be traced to something I did. Something I could have changed. And with that knowledge, I have the ability to determine the right path forward. Thanks Andy!
